Who are today’s temporary, contract-staff workers? “Temps” can be part-time interns, entry-level workers…and now they are even senior, high-level executives.

A recent article in The Wall Street Journal advises that in our current economy, companies are more likely to look at senior-level workers as temps. And, during this recession the use of experienced contract staffers is higher than usual.

Executive-level contract staff workers like the variety and flexibility of projects. Companies get knowledgeable, top employees who can “hit the ground running,” develop special projects, or use their network of contacts to build a new division or department.
